🍎 MemWall for Schools

The whole school on one screen —
and nothing on it you didn't approve.

A live photo wall for assemblies, sports day, trips, science fairs, prom, and the last day of term. Photos wait for a teacher to approve them, uploads can be locked to the room with a PIN, and pupils never install an app or make an account.

The question your head teacher will ask

"What stops the wrong photo appearing on a screen in front of 300 children?" Four things, and they stack — a photo has to get through all of them.

No pupil accounts

Pupils scan a QR code and a web page opens. No app, no sign-up, no password — so there are no pupil accounts to create, manage, or delete afterwards.

Photos don't linger

Each event has a window and photos delete automatically when it closes. Staff can remove any individual photo instantly, or download the album first to keep it in the school's own storage.

Staff moderators, not admins

Invite up to 10 colleagues to an event. They can approve photos and run the display, but can't touch billing, settings, or delete the event.

You control the screen live

Delete a photo mid-assembly and it disappears from the display within seconds, or pause the wall entirely — both from a phone at the back of the hall.

From the first assembly to the last day of term

One subscription, unlimited events running at once. Set up a wall for sports day in the morning and a different one for the Year 11 leavers' assembly in the afternoon.

🏃

Sports day & assemblies

Staff and parents send photos from the field as the day happens; the hall screen fills up in real time instead of a folder nobody opens in September.

🚌

School trips & residentials

A wall per trip. Photos land as they're taken, and the display is ready for the welcome-back assembly the moment the coach pulls in.

🔬

Science fairs & projects

Numbered entries, live audience voting, and a People's Choice winner revealed on the screen. Works the same for art shows and design showcases.

📊

Classroom polls

Ask the room a question and answers appear live as a bar chart or a growing word cloud. An exit ticket, a vote on the trip destination, a starter activity.

🎓

Prom, leavers' day & graduation

The events pupils actually photograph. Their pictures on the big screen, moderated, and downloadable as an album for the yearbook afterwards.

🖥️

Corridor & reception screens

Kiosk mode hardens the display for unattended screens: it stays awake, reconnects on its own, and recovers after a power cut. Set it in September and leave it.

It runs on the screens you already have

1

Make the event

Name it, pick how long it runs, and turn on pre-approval and a PIN. Two minutes, no IT ticket — it's a web page, so nothing gets installed on the school network.

2

Share the QR code

Print it for the hall door, put it on a slide, or hand it to the staff covering the event. Anyone who scans it can send a photo — no account, no app.

3

Open the display

On the interactive whiteboard, the hall projector, a smart TV, or a corridor screen. Any browser works. Approve from a phone as it runs.

A subscription, not an invoice per event

Every tier includes every feature and every safeguarding control — pre-approval, the NSFW scan, the profanity filter, and PIN-locked uploads are never an upgrade. The difference is scale and staff seats.

What schools ask before they say yes

Do pupils need an account or an app?

No. A pupil scans the QR code and a web page opens on their phone. No app to install, no login, no account — so no pupil signs up for anything and there are no pupil credentials to manage.

Can a teacher approve photos before they appear?

Yes. Turn on pre-approval and every photo and caption waits in a queue until a member of staff taps approve. Nothing reaches the screen unseen, and up to 10 staff can share the queue on one event.

What stops someone outside the school uploading?

Put a PIN on the upload page — only people given it in the room can contribute, even if a photo of the QR code ends up online. With pre-approval on too, a photo has to pass a PIN, an NSFW scan, and a member of staff.

What happens to the photos afterwards?

Each event has a window and photos delete automatically when it closes. Staff can delete any individual photo at any time, or download the album first if the school wants to keep it in its own storage.

What does it cost for a school?

A subscription, not a fee per event: $149 per semester for a single school, club, or department, or $1,200 a year for a whole school with 25 staff seats. Trusts, districts, and academy chains use a flat annual site licence.

Can we use it on the hall projector or a corridor screen?

Yes. The display is a web page, so an interactive whiteboard, a hall projector, a smart TV, or a corridor media player all work. Kiosk mode keeps an unattended screen awake and reconnects it on its own.

Do we have to use it with pupils' own phones?

No. In a primary school it's usually one staff device or a school iPad passed around, with the wall on the hall screen. Nothing about it requires a pupil to own a phone.

Is this different from MemWall for Campus?

Same product, same subscription. This page answers the safeguarding questions primary and secondary schools ask; the Campus page covers universities, colleges, and student organisations.

Your school's photo and consent policy is still yours to run — MemWall gives you the controls to enforce it (who can upload, what gets shown, how long it's kept), not a substitute for it.

Try it at one assembly.
That's usually all it takes.
